Business Systems Automation Technology Operations

Better systems.
Better ways of working.

Tessera House helps growing companies streamline operations, automate repetitive work, connect their tools, and build scalable systems across people, processes, data, and technology.

Strategy to implementationBuilt for growing, distributed companies
01The operational gap

Your company grew. Your systems didn’t.

Growth adds people, tools, data, and decisions. Without an intentional structure, the pieces stop working together.

01Employee data lives in five different places.

02Important processes still depend on spreadsheets and Slack messages.

03Teams spend hours copying information between systems.

04Nobody is entirely sure which tool is the source of truth.

05Onboarding works—until the person who understands it is out.

06The SaaS stack keeps growing, but nobody owns the architecture.

07Leadership wants more automation and AI, but there’s no clear strategy behind it.

Tessera House turns operational complexity into intentional systems—so work moves cleanly, information stays reliable, and growth does not create more chaos.

02Services

Design the system behind the work.

Engagements range from a focused systems audit to ongoing systems ownership. Each one is shaped around how your business actually works.

01

Systems & Operations Audit

See the whole operating environment clearly before deciding what to change.

Best forTeams that know something is off, but not where it starts.

What we fix

  • Fragmented employee, company, and process data
  • Undocumented workflows
  • Tools nobody clearly owns

What you walk away with

  • A current-state systems map
  • A friction and risk register
  • A prioritized roadmap you can act on
02

Workflow & Automation

Remove repetitive work and make handoffs reliable across teams and tools.

Best forTeams copying information between systems by hand.

What we fix

  • Manual handoffs and re-entry
  • Approvals lost in chat
  • Reporting rebuilt from scratch each month

What you walk away with

  • Automated lifecycle and approval workflows
  • Synchronized data between platforms
  • Reporting that refreshes itself
03

Business Systems Architecture

Give every system a clear role and every important record a reliable home.

Best forCompanies whose stack grew faster than its structure.

What we fix

  • Competing sources of truth
  • Duplicated records
  • Overlapping tools doing the same job

What you walk away with

  • Defined system ownership
  • An integration and data-flow design
  • A shorter, more deliberate tool list
04

SaaS, Access & Identity Governance

Bring consistency and ownership to the tools and access that keep work moving.

Best forGrowing or distributed teams with inconsistent onboarding.

What we fix

  • Ad-hoc onboarding and offboarding
  • Permissions granted by memory
  • Admin roles with no named owner

What you walk away with

  • Repeatable joiner and leaver workflows
  • Documented access and permission models
  • A regular access review rhythm
05

AI & Operational Automation

Find practical uses for AI, and introduce them with intention and appropriate guardrails.

Best forLeadership asking where AI actually fits.

What we fix

  • AI adopted tool-first, without a workflow
  • Unclear data and permission boundaries
  • No guidance for employee use

What you walk away with

  • A short list of genuinely useful use cases
  • Governance and responsible-use guidelines
  • Automations that fit existing work
06

Fractional Systems Leadership

Ongoing systems ownership without a full-time internal technology leader.

Best forCompanies too complex for improvisation, but not ready for full-time systems leadership.

What we fix

  • Projects that stall without an owner
  • Vendor decisions made in isolation
  • Knowledge held by one person

What you walk away with

  • A maintained systems and automation roadmap
  • Coordinated technology projects
  • Documentation your team can carry forward
03How an engagement works

Understand first. Build with intention.

Every engagement starts with a conversation, not a proposal. From there the work moves in clear stages, and you always know which one you are in.

  1. 01

    Conversation

A short, no-pressure call to understand what isn't working and whether this is a fit.

  2. 02

    Discover

Understand how the business actually runs day to day, not how the org chart says it does.

  3. 03

    Map

Document systems, workflows, data, dependencies, and the places work quietly breaks.

  4. 04

    Design

Propose a simpler future state, sequenced so the important work happens first.

  5. 05

    Build

Implement workflows, automations, integrations, and internal tooling.

  6. 06

    Document & Improve

Hand over something your team can maintain, then keep refining as the business changes.

Engagements can stop after the map and roadmap, continue into implementation, or become ongoing systems support. That decision is yours to make once the picture is clear.

04Expertise

Built inside the complexity.

Approximately five years working at the intersection of business operations and technology inside a 300+ person distributed organization—the kind of environment where these problems become impossible to ignore.

01

Find where employee, company, process, or system data has fragmented

02

Clarify which tool is the source of truth for each kind of record

03

Map messy, undocumented workflows into something a team can follow

04

Reduce repetitive manual handoffs between people and platforms

05

Improve onboarding, offboarding, access, and permission workflows

06

Connect tools through automation, APIs, and cleaner data flows

07

Rationalize SaaS ownership, administration, and renewal responsibility

08

Create dashboards, documentation, and internal tools teams can maintain

09

Introduce AI and automation with attention to permissions and governance

“Most of my experience was built inside a fast-growing remote organization, where I saw firsthand what happens when a company grows faster than the systems underneath it.”

Where that experience comes from

  • Designing cross-platform employee identity and data workflows
  • Building operational dashboards and reporting systems
  • Automating workflows across business platforms
  • Managing Google Workspace and Slack environments
  • Improving onboarding, offboarding, access, and permissions
  • Working with APIs and system integrations
  • Designing internal operational tools
  • Evaluating and implementing SaaS platforms
  • Developing AI governance and responsible-use processes
  • Supporting technology operations across a distributed workforce
  • Translating operational problems into technical solutions
05About

Systems thinking, without the unnecessary complexity.

TesseraOne piece of a larger whole

I work at the intersection of operations and technology.

My background is unconventional: I originally studied Narrative Studies before moving into operations and, eventually, technology and systems leadership. That path shapes the way I approach this work—structure, clarity, and how information moves through an organization matter as much as the tools themselves.

Technology is rarely the entire problem. Good systems need to make sense to the people using them, fit the way the organization actually operates, and communicate information clearly.

Over the past several years, I have worked across business operations, SaaS administration, automation, APIs, reporting, access management, systems architecture, and technology operations for a distributed workforce.

I created Tessera House to help growing companies build the operational systems I wish more companies had designed intentionally from the beginning.

06Platform-agnostic

Your systems,
not mine.

Tessera House works across modern business software rather than forcing companies into a predetermined technology stack. The goal is to understand how your organization works, evaluate what you already have, and recommend changes only where they solve a real problem.

A better operating environment

Your systems should
make work easier.

If your company has outgrown the processes and tools that got it here, send a short note about what isn’t working. You’ll get a thoughtful reply, and we’ll decide the next step from there.

What isn’t working the way it should?

Share a little context. You do not need to have the problem perfectly diagnosed before reaching out.

Your information will only be used to respond to your inquiry.
